REPORT <br />To the Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />From the City Manager <br /> <br />April 24, 2017 <br /> <br />SUBJECT <br />Final map, easement deed, revocable encroachment permit, and associated <br />agreements for the development of Stanford Phase 1 <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />1. By motion, approve the Final Map for the Subdivision of Stanford Phase 1; <br />2. By motion, approve the public service easement, and authorize the City Manager <br />to execute the Certificate of Acceptance for such deed, and modify the content of the <br />Easement Deed as necessary to receive the signed deed; <br />3. By motion, approve and authorize the City Manager to execute a Revocable <br />Encroachment Permit Agreement with The Board of Trustees of the Leland Stanford <br />Junior University; <br />4. By motion, approve and authorize the City Manager to execute an Improvement <br />Agreement with The Board of Trustees of the Leland Stanford Junior University; <br />5. By motion, approve and authorize the City Manager to execute a Landscape <br />Maintenance Agreement with The Board of Trustees of the Leland Stanford Junior <br />University; <br />6. By motion, approve and authorize the City Manager to execute a Stormwater <br />Treatment Measures Maintenance Agreement with The Board of Trustees of the Leland <br />Stanford Junior University; <br />7. By motion, approve and authorize the City Manager to execute an Easement and <br />Maintenance Agreement with The Board of Trustees of the Leland Stanford Junior <br />University <br /> <br />BACKGROUND <br />The project is Phase 1 of the Stanford Precise Plan Development area. This phase <br />includes four office buildings totaling 570,000 sq. ft., a seven-level parking structure, <br />and a fitness center, child care center, cafeteria, conference center, and central energy <br />facility. On December 12, 2016, the City Council approved the Tentative Map (TM2016- <br />002) and Planned Community Permit (PC2016-001). The site formerly was six separate <br />parcels that included four office buildings, parking lots, and common areas. <br /> <br />ANALYSIS <br />The developer’s engineer completed the final map, improvement plans, and <br />specifications compliant with the Subdivision Map Act, Redwood City Ordinances, City <br />Standards, the tentative map, conditions of approval, and to the satisfaction of the City <br />6.1.D. - Page 1
