Engineer. The final map merges six existing parcels and subdivides them into five new <br />parcels. Improvements include two new private roads and an open space area with <br />public access. Improvements also include new sewer, storm and water mains and <br />services, the undergrounding of all overhead utilities around the entire block, a new <br />recycled water main from the nearest point of connection at Seaport Boulevard and E. <br />Bayshore Boulevard, intersection and traffic improvements at several nearby and <br />adjoining intersections, and new sidewalks and street trees long the property frontages. <br /> <br />The developer, The Board of Trustees of the Leland Stanford Junior University, a body <br />having corporate powers under the laws of the State of California, will post bonds in the <br />amount of $21,144,413.00 as required by the Improvement Agreement and $100,000 as <br />required by the Revocable Encroachment Permit. The developer anticipates completion <br />of all improvements by the end of 2019. <br /> <br />ALTERNATIVES <br />Council may choose not to approve the final map, easement deed, revocable <br />encroachment permit, and associated agreements for the project. <br /> <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />There is no fiscal impact to the City as a result of this action. <br /> <br />ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW <br />The City certified the project EIR on September 13, 2013 with an associated Mitigation <br />Monitoring and Reporting Program (MMRP). Staff and environmental consultant David <br />J. Powers and Associates completed a consistency checklist to verify that the project is <br />consistent with the project described by the EIR and that none of the circumstances <br />warranting further environmental review have been triggered, and that any necessary <br />technical and environmental studies have been completed.
