ALTERNATIVES <br />Council may choose not to accept the project or authorize the release of bonds and <br />retention, however, this would be contrary to the terms of the contract, prior Council <br />action, and public contracting code. <br /> <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />Sufficient funding for this construction contract was previously approved and <br />appropriated in the Fiscal Year 2014/15 budget as Recycled Water System <br />Development and Recycled Water Main Extension – Kaiser Hospital Contribution. <br /> <br />ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW <br />In June 2002, the City as Lead Agency completed an Initial Study for the “Redwood City <br />Recycled Water Project” in order to comply with the California Environmental Quality <br />Act (CEQA). The report was prepared by CH2MHILL, a consulting firm from San Jose, <br />California. A Mitigated Negative Declaration (MND) was prepared, filed and approved in <br />2003.
