<br />of such citation, pay to the appropriate court, as a penalty <br />for and full satisfaction of such violation, the sum of Three <br />Dollars ($3.00) . The mailing, in a sealed envelope properly <br />addressed through the united States mail, of a check, money <br />order or postal order, within five ( 5) days from the time of <br />issuance of the citation, or notice of such violation or the <br />deposit with the police department of the sum of Three Dollars <br />($3.00) within such five (5) days constitutes compliance with <br />this provision. Delivery of such envelope shall be the responsi- <br />bility of such owner or operator. The failure of such owner <br />or operator to make such payment within said five ( 5) days <br />shall render such owner or operator subject to the penalties <br />provided for violations of the provisions of this division. <br /> " (d) Any person who shall violate any of the provisions <br />of this division and any person who aids, abets or assists <br />therein, upon conviction thereof, shall be subject to a fine <br />not exceeding Two Hundred Dollars ($200.00) for each offense <br />or violation, or be imprisoned for a term not exceeding sixty <br />(60 ) days in the county jail, or both. " <br />SECTION 2. Section 20.95.2 is hereby added to the Code of <br />the City of Redwood City to read as follows: <br /> "Section 20.95.2. For all Vehicle Code violations and <br />for all parking violations (other than those listed in <br />Sections 20.95.1, 20.123.5, and 20.127), the following <br />procedure shall apply: <br /> " (a) It shall be the duty of each police officer parking <br />enforcement deputy to take the state vehicle license of such <br />vehicle; the time, place, and date of such violation; and <br />make of such vehicle; and issue, in writing, a citation for <br />illegal parking in the same form and subject to the same <br />procedure provided for by the laws of the state applicable <br /> -2- <br /> ._0.._ <br />
