<br />to traffic violations within the city. <br /> " (b) Any operator or owner of a vehicle to whom a <br />citation has been issued in accordance with the preceding <br />subsection may, within five (5) days of the time of the <br />issuance of such citation, pay to the appropriate court, <br />as a penalty for and full satisfaction of such violation, <br />the sum of Ten Dollars ($10.00) . The mailing, in a sealed <br />envelope properly addressed through the United States mail, <br />of a check, money order or postal order, within five ( 5) <br />days from the time of issuance of the citation, or notice <br />of such violation, or the deposit with the police department <br />of the sum of Ten Dollars ($10.00) within such five (5) days <br />constitutes compliance with this provision. Delivery of <br />such envelope shall be the responsibility of such owner or <br />operator. The failure of such owner or operator to make such <br />payment within said five (5) days shall render such <br />owner or operator subject to the penalties provided for <br />violations of the provisions of this division. <br /> " (c) Any person who shall violate any of the provisions <br />of this division and any person who .aids, abets or assists <br />therein, upon conviction thereof, shall be subject to a fine <br />not exceeding Two gundred Dollars ($200.00) for each offense <br />or violation, or be imprisoned for a term not exceeding sixty <br />(60) days in the county jail, or both. " <br />SECTION 3. Section 20.123.5 of the Code of the City of <br />Redwood City is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> "Section 20.123.5. It shall be unlawful and a violation <br />of the provisions of this division for any person to permit <br />any vehicle to remain in any parking space for more than one <br />maximum period of parking time prescribed for such parking <br /> -3- <br /> -..." <br />
