<br /> SECTION 4. The following monthly salary rates, in dollars, <br />are established for each of the employee positions within the <br />employment classifications relating to Fire Department personnel, <br />set out below within the designated ranges hereinafter set forth, <br />for the period effective January 1, 1980: <br /> Steps 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 <br /> - - - - - - - <br />Communications Dispatcher <br />Assigned to Fire Department 1148-1204-1262-1324-1389 <br />Fire Inspector 1502-1579-1657-1740-1828 <br />Fire Captain 1502-1579-1657-1740-1828 <br />Fire Alarm Supervisor 1502-1579-1657-1740-1828 <br />Fire Fighter 1173-1235-1300-1364-1432-1505-1580 <br /> SECTION 5. Any employee holding a position in the classifi- <br />cation of fire fighter, fire inspector, fire alarm supervisor, or <br />fire captain who is assigned, in writing, the duties of a job <br />classification with a higher salary range than that to which he <br />is regularly assigned, on a temporary basis but for more than <br />five shifts, shall receive, in addition to his basic salary for <br />such period, compensation in the amount of 5% of such basic salary <br />for that time worked under such circumstances in excess of five <br />shifts; provided, however, that any employee holding a position in <br />one of the above mentioned classifications who, after January 1, <br />1974, is so assigned the duties of a job classification with a <br />higher salary than that to which he is regularly assigned, shall <br />receive the above mentioned additional compensation for any time <br />worked under such circumstances commencing with the first such <br />assignment, if such employee was ever so assigned prior to January 1, <br />1974, irrespective of the number of shifts. <br /> SECTION 6. ( a) Each communications dispatcher assigned to <br />the Fire Department regularly assigned to night shift duty, as <br />herein defined, or to a relief schedule requiring night shift duty, <br />shall receive additional compensation in an amount equal to 5% of <br />his basic monthly salary for each month during the period he is so <br />assigned; provided, however, that such additional compensation shall <br /> -2- <br /> __0- <br />
