<br />displays of fireworks except pursuant to a permit <br />issued hereunder by the Chief for a supervised public <br />display of fireworks. <br />" , (b) The Chief shall have the authority to adopt <br />reasonable rules and regulations for the granting of <br />permits for supervised public displays of fireworks, <br />and such permits shall include such reasonable conditions <br />and requirements as in the opinion of the Chief are <br />necessary or proper to eliminate hazard to property or <br />danger to any person. <br />" , (c) Every such use or display shall be conducted <br />by an operator approved by the Chief, and shall be of such <br />character and so located, discharged or fired as in the <br />opinion of the Chief after proper investigation, so as not <br />to be hazardous to property or endanger any person. <br />" , (d) Applications for permits for supervised public <br />displays of fireworks shall be made in writing and filed <br />with the Chief at least ten days in advance of the proposed <br />date of the display. After such privilege shall have been <br />granted, possession, storage, use, distribution and <br />explosion of fireworks for such display shall be lawful <br />for that purpose only. No permit granted hereunder shall <br />be transferable. <br />" , (e) The person applying for a permit for a super- <br />vised public display of fireworks shall, at the time of <br />application, submit for inspection the applicant's license <br />issued by the State Fire Marshal, and furnish proof of <br />coverage of such compensation insurance as is required by <br />the State of California for any employees of the applicant. <br /> -7- <br /> -- <br />
