CGM:dp:12/11/78 CGM:dp:12/l2/78 CGM:dp:12/27/78 CGM:dp:l/3/79 CGM:dp:l/8/79 ORDINANCE NO. 1771 --------- ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 9.42, 9.81, AND 9.114 OF ORIGINAL AND ADDING SECTION 9.72 TO, THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, RELATING TO THE AUTHORIZATION OF THE Jf\N 2 2 1919 COUNCIL TO ESTABLISH BUILDING FEES, MECHANICAL FEES, PLUMBING FEES, AND ELECTRICAL FEES BY RESOLUTION THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Section 9.42 of the Redwood City Code is hereby amended to read as follows: "Section 9.42. Section 303 of the Building Code is hereby amended to read as follows: Section 303 " (a) Building permit fees. The building official shall charge a fee to the person filing an application for such permit, such fee to be paid to the building official at the time of such filing. The fees for such permits shall be established by resolution of the Council. "The determination of value or valuation under any of the provisions of this Code shall be made by the building official. The valuation to be used in computing the permit and plan review fees shall be the total value of all construc- tion work for which the permit is issued, as well as all finish work, painting, roofing, electrical, plumbing, heating, air conditioning, elevators, fire-extinguishing systems and any other permanent work or permanent equipment. "Where work for which a permit is required by this Code is started or proceeded with prior to obtaining said permit, such permit fee shall be doubled, but the payment of such double fee shall not relieve any persons from fully complying with requirements of this Code in the execution of the work nor from any other penalties prescribed herein. " (b) When plans and specifications or other data are required to be submitted pursuant to subsection (c) of 1771 .
