<br /> SECTION 13. Section 5.70 of the Code of the City of Redwood <br />City is hereby repealed. <br /> SECTION 14. Section 5.71 of the Code of the City of Redwood <br />City is hereby repealed. <br /> SECTION 15. Section 5.1 is hereby added to the Code of the <br />City of Redwood City to read as follows: <br /> "Section 5.1. Definitions. ( a) The Department of <br /> Animal Control Services. That Department of the City, <br /> or its designated contract agent, specifically charged <br /> with the responsibility of enforcing the provisions of <br /> this chapter and the laws of the State of California <br /> relating to the care, treatment, control, regulation <br /> or impound of animals or for the prevention of cruelty <br /> thereto. <br /> " (b) Chief of Animal Control. That person designated <br /> as Director of Animal Control for the City, and his duly <br /> authorized officers. <br /> " (c) Poundmaster. Whenever the word "poundmaster" <br /> is used in this chapter, it shall be construed to mean <br /> the Chief of Animal Control. <br /> " (d) Animal Control Center. Those facilities <br /> provided for the impounding of animals. <br /> " (e) Health Officer. That person appointed as such <br /> by the Board of Supervisors of the County and any other <br /> person duly authorized by him to act on his behalf. <br /> " (f) Impoundment. The taking up and confining of <br /> an animal by the Chief of Animal Control. <br /> " (g) Kenne 1. Any enclosure, premises, building, <br /> structure, lot or area in or upon which dogs or cats of <br /> at least four months of age are kept, harbored or maintained, <br /> - 2 - <br /> .'"" <br />
