" <br /> SECTION 26. Section 5.60 of the Code of the City of Redwood <br /> City is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> "Section 5.60. Animal to be Impounded. Every animal <br /> kept or found in violation of the provisions of this chapter <br /> and every dog not wearing the license tag provided for in <br /> Section 5.17, shall be taken up and impounded by the Chief <br /> of Animal Control. " <br /> SECTION 27. Section 5.63 of the Code of the City of Redwood <br /> City is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> "Section 5.63. Notice of Impounded Animals. The Chief <br /> of Animal Control shall, within twenty-four hours after the <br /> impounding of any animal, cause to be mailed to the place of <br /> business or residence of the owner or keeper of the animal, <br /> if known to the Chief of Animal Control, a written notice <br /> that such animal has been impounded and the date of impounding. <br /> If the owner or keeper of the animal is not known to the Chief <br /> of Animal Control, said Chief shall maintain records of said <br /> impoundment for at least thirty (30) days after the date of <br /> impoundment. " <br /> SECTION 28. This ordinance shall be effective 30 days after <br /> its adoption. <br /> * * * <br /> - 9 - <br /> ........ <br />
