<br />funds for the maintaining of the public library of said City during <br />said fiscal year and for deposit in the Library Fund of said City, <br />and the special tax rate therefor is hereby levied and fixed at <br />$0.2417 on each One Hundred Dollars of the assessed value of all <br />taxable property within the territorial limits of the City of <br />Redwood City as said limits existed on March 1, 1978. <br /> (c) Eight Hundred Forty-one Thousand Six Hundred Twenty-six <br />Dollars ($841,626) as a special levy for the special purpose of <br />providing funds for the City's contribution and obligation to the <br />retirement plan voted in the municipal election of April 9, 1940, <br />and for deposit in the Retirement Fund of said City, and the special <br />tax rate therefor is hereby levied and fixed at $0.2878 on each <br />One Hundred Dollars of the assessed value of all taxable property <br />within the territorial limits of the City of Redwood City as said <br />limits existed on March 1, 1978. <br /> SECTION 3. REPEAL. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in <br />conflict with this ordinance are hereby repealed. <br /> SECTION 4. SEVERABILITY. If any section, sentence, clause <br />or phrase of this ordinance is for any reason held by a Court of <br />competent jurisdiction to be invalid, such decision shall not affect <br />the validity of the remaining portions of this ordinance, and the <br />City Council hereby declares that it would have adopted said ordinance <br />and each section, sentence, clause and phrase thereof, irrespective <br />of the fact that anyone or more section, sentence, clause or phrase <br />be declared invalid. <br /> SECTION 5. TRANSMITTAL TO COUNTY. The City Clerk is hereby <br />directed to transmit certified copies of this ordinance to the <br />Auditor of the County of San Mateo in accordance with Section 51551 <br />of the Government Code and to such other County officials as may <br />find it convenient or necessary to utilize this ordinance. <br /> -2- <br /> ~'_. <br />
