<br /> DES:yc:6/16/78 <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 1756 JUN 26 1978 <br /> --------- - - ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 9.42 OF THE REDWOOD CITY CODE <br /> AND SECTION 303 OF THE UNIFORM BUILDING CODE AS ADOPTED <br /> BY REFERENCE PURSUANT TO ARTICLE V OF CHAPTER 9 OF THE <br /> REDWOOD CITY CODE, RELATING TO BUILDING PERMIT FEES, PLAN <br /> REVIEW FEES, AND EXPIRATION OF PLAN REVIEW PERIOD, AND <br /> DECLARING THE ENACTMENT HEREOF TO BE NECESSARY AS AN <br /> EMERGENCY MEASURE <br /> THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> SECTION 1. Section 9.42 of the Redwood City Code is hereby <br /> amended to read as follows: <br /> "Section 9.42 Section 303 of the Building Code is hereby <br /> amended to read as follows: <br /> "'Section 303. (a) A basic fee for each building permit <br /> shall be paid to the Building Official as set forth in <br /> Table No. 3-A. <br /> "'The determination of value or valuation under any of <br /> the provisions of this Code shall be made by the <br /> Building Official. The valuation to be used in <br /> computing the permit and plan review fees shall be <br /> the total value of all construction work for which <br /> the permit is issued, as well as all finish work, <br /> painting, roofing, electrical, plumbing, heating, air <br /> conditioning, elevators, fire-extinguishing systems <br /> and any other vermanent work or permanent equipment. <br /> "'Where work for which a permit is required by this <br /> Code is started or proceeded with prior to obtaining <br /> said permit, the fees specified in Table No. 3-A shall <br /> be doubled, but the payment of such double fee shall <br /> not relieve any persons from fully complying with <br /> requirements of this Code in the execution of the work <br /> nor from any other penalties prescribed herein. <br /> TABLE NO. 3-A--BUILDING PERMIT FEES <br /> TOTAL VALUATION FEE <br /> $1.00 to $500.00 $10.00 <br /> $501.00 to $2,000.00 $10.00 for the first $500.00 plus $1.50 <br /> for each additional $100.00 or fraction <br /> thereof, to and including $2,000.00 <br /> $2,001.00 to $25,000.00 $32.50 for the first $2,000.00 plus <br /> $6.00 for each additional $1,000.00 or <br /> fraction thereof, to and including <br /> $25,000.00 <br /> $25,001.00 to $50,000.00 $170.50 for the first $25,000.00 plus <br /> $4.50 for each additional $1,000.00 or <br /> fraction thereof, to and including <br /> $50,000.00 <br /> I 75 6 <br /> 'T". <br />
