Said Charter Amendment Proposition No. 6 shall be submitted <br />to the electors in the form of a proposition printed on the ballot <br />at said general municipal election as follows: <br />"CHARTER AMENDMENT PROPOSITION NO. 6 <br />Shall Charter Amendment Proposition No. 6 <br />amending Section 46 of the Charter of the City of <br />Redwood City to provide for the granting of franchises <br />in accordance with procedures established by local <br />ordinance or in accordance with the general laws <br />of the State relating to the granting of franchises, <br />be approved? <br />YES <br />NO <br />CHARTER AMENDMENT PROPOSITION NO. 7 <br />Section 48a of the Charter of the City of Redwood City is <br />hereby amended to read as follows: <br />"Section 48a. LEASES: <br />No lease of any real property under the jurisdiction <br />of the Board of Port Commissioners shall be made except <br />in accordance with the provisions of Section 3-1/2 of this <br />charter and all powers and duties therein imposed on the <br />Council are hereby conferred and imposed on the Board of <br />Port Commissioners with respect to property under its <br />jurisdiction; provided, however, that notwithstanding the <br />provisions of Section 3-1/2 of this charter, the Board of <br />Port Commissioners may provide for the leasing of property <br />within the port area for periods not in excess of one (1) <br />calendar month without public notice or bid. All leases <br />made or approved by the Board of Port Commissioners shall <br />be subject to the referendum provisions of this charter." <br />- 12 - <br />
