Said Charter Amendment Proposition No. 7 shall be submitted <br />to the electors in the form of a proposition printed on the ballot <br />at said general municipal election as follows: <br />"CHARTER AMENDMENT PROPOSITION NO. 7 <br />Shall Charter Amendment Proposition No. 7 <br />amending Section 48a of the Charter of the City of <br />Redwood City to enable the Board of Port Commissioners <br />to provide for the leasing of property within the port <br />area for periods not in excess of one (1) calendar <br />month without public notice or bid, be approved? <br />YES L� <br />n <br />NO Q <br />CHARTER AMENDMENT PROPOSITION NO. 8 <br />The Charter of the City of Redwood City is hereby amended <br />by adding thereto a new section numbered Section 51.5 to read <br />as follows: <br />"Section 51.5. ADOPTION OF BUDGET: <br />At the meeting of the Council at which the budget is <br />submitted, the Council shall set a time and place for a <br />public hearing thereon, shall order copies thereof to be <br />filed in the office of the City Clerk for inspection by <br />the public and shall cause a notice to be published at <br />least once in the official newspaper stating that copies <br />of the budget are available for inspection at the City <br />Clerk1s office and stating the time and place at which the <br />Council will hold the public hearing. At the time and <br />place so advertised, or at such time and place to which <br />such hearing may from time to time be adjourned, the <br />Council shall hold a public hearing on the budget as <br />submitted. After the conclusion of such public hearing, <br />the Council may insert new items, delete items, or may <br />increase or decrease the amount of money set forth for <br />the various items included therein. <br />- 13 - <br />
