Project is currently scheduled for construction in 2020 to 2023. <br /> <br />The expected benefits of the project include new bicycle and pedestrian connections <br />across Highway 101 and improved safety for bicyclists and pedestrians due to the <br />reduction in exposure to vehicular conflicts. The Project would provide direct access to <br />the Broadway/Veterans Corridor PDA. <br /> <br />ALTERNATIVES <br />Council may choose not to authorize the application for funding from MTC and direct <br />staff to seek other funding sources. <br /> <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />The project will be funded by $948,000 from the BPIP and $123,000 (11.47% of project <br />cost) from City funds.
