<br /> MSR: sw: 5/11/78 <br /> ORiGiNAL <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 1752 MAY 22 1978 <br /> --------- - - <br />ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 33.5, 33.25 AND 33.32 <br />OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, RELATING <br />TO TAXICAB SERVICE RATE SCHEDULE <br />THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION l. Section 33.5 of the Code of the City of Redwood <br />City is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />"Section 33.5 It shall be unlawful for any person <br />except where credit is extended, to refuse to pay the lawful <br />fare as specified in the rate schedule then in effect and on <br />file with the City Clerk, for the use of any taxicab after <br />hiring the same. " <br />SECTION 2. Section 33.25 of the Code of the City of Redwood <br />City is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />"Section 33.25 The City Council may at any time revoke, <br />suspend or change the certificate granted under this article <br />for the following reasons: <br />" (a) If the owner's record is unsatisfactory. <br />" (b) If the owner fails to operate taxicabs in accor- <br />dance with the provisions of this chapter. <br />" (c) If the owner discontinues or suspends operation <br />of any taxicab for a period of 45 days without permission <br />first had and obtained. <br />" (d) If taxicabs are operated at a rate of fare other <br />than that specified in the rate schedule then in effect and <br />on file with the City Clerk. " <br />SECTION 3. Section 33.32 of the Code of the City of Redwood <br />City is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />"Section 33.32 <br />" (a) The rate schedule specifying the rates and charges <br />established for the operation of a taxi service shall be filed <br /> 1 752 <br /> ~..." <br />
