<br />7. Insurance: Permittee shall fumìsh to the CIty public liability and property damage
<br />insurance naming the City of Redwood City, it Council, boards, commissions,
<br />officers, employees, volunteers, and agent$ as insureds, or additional insureds,
<br />insuring the same against a:¡ claims for personal injury or death to any person or
<br />persons resulting or arising from the conducting of the activities herein permitted, or
<br />alleged to have resulted or alleged to have arisen therefrom, or from any act or
<br />omìssion to act, af Permittee in connection therewith, in the amounts of $1,000,000
<br />for each person and $1,000,000 for each occurrence, and property damage
<br />insurance for damage or injury to, or destruction of property, including the loss of
<br />use thereof, in the amount of $1,000,000. Evidence of such insurance coverage in
<br />form satisfactory to the City shalJ be furnished by Permittee to the City at least ten
<br />(10) days prior to commencement of the event.
<br />8. Damage to Public Property: Permittee shall reimburse the City for the costs for any
<br />damages to City owned property in the vicinity of the designated route, caused by or
<br />arísîng out of the conducting of the liT our De Peninsula" permitted hereunder, or the
<br />acts, omissions to act, of persons participating În said event. All signs or other
<br />markings placed in or upon public property I including the publiC right of way in
<br />connection with the "Tour De Peninsula", shall be removed immediately following
<br />said avent
<br />9. Compliance With Laws: Permittee shall comply with all appropriate and applicable
<br />rules, regulations and laws in connection with the conducting of said event, or any
<br />activities associated therewith. This permit shall be in addition to all other permits
<br />which are or may be required for conducting the "Tour De Peninsula" or any
<br />associated activity.
<br />10. Hold Harmless: Permittee shall assume the defense of and indemnify and save
<br />harmless the City of Redwood City, its Council, officers, boards, commissions,
<br />employees, volunteers, and agents from all suits, actions, damages, or claims to
<br />which the City may be subjected of any kind or nature whatsoever, resulting from or
<br />arising out of the performance or failure to perform of Permittee hereunder, or
<br />otherwise arising from or arising out of said race, or any activities herein permitted.
<br />11. Additional Matters: ThÎs event is not a race. Therefore, all participants will obey
<br />traffic laws, and yield to pedestrian and vehicular traffic, where appropriate.
<br />Additional or further matters not herein described or contemplated in connection
<br />with the "Tour De Peninsula" shall not be effectuated without the prior written
<br />consent of the Chief of Police.
<br />Employees of RhodyCo will be responsible for providing, placing, and collecting all
<br />cones involved in this event.
<br />12. Acceptance: This permit shall not be effective until fully executed by all parties
<br />hereto and accepted by Permittee, and returned to the City.
