<br />· Enlist members of the community to help in planning and implemen- <br />tation of campaign: <br />· contact neighborhood associations <br />· contact Parks and Recreation Commission, Civic Cultural <br />Commission, Library Board, Friends of the Library, etc. <br />· Form surveillance squads of youths and adults. Offer rewards or <br />recognition <br />· Coordinate all efforts with the Police Department; staff and volunteers <br />to be trained by police personnel; establish police walkthroughs during <br />periods of peak activity beginning in the fall. <br />· Enforce penalties <br />· police will be called <br />· pursue restitution for damages <br />· ban violators from the Library <br />· require violators to clean up Library or other areas in the City <br />· If successful, expand "Graffiti Free Zones" to other areas in the City. <br />· Share successes and lessons learned with other cities. <br />T- <br />
