2 <br /> <br />NOTICE INVITING BIDS <br />FOR SELF-CONTAINED BREATHING <br />APPARATUS (SCBA) FOR THE FIRE DEPARTMENT <br />CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, CALIFORNIA <br />GENERAL PROVISIONS <br /> <br />1. INTRODUCTION <br />The City of Redwood City’s Fire Department, in accordance with Redwood City’s Purchasing <br />Ordinance, is providing this Notice Inviting Bids to prospective Bidders for the purchase of <br />SCBAs for the Fire Department as described in this document’s Bid Specification. Your <br />participation in the Redwood City competitive bidding process is encouraged and <br />appreciated. <br /> <br />2. SCHEDULE OF DATES <br /> <br />Event Date <br />Bid Release Date Friday, March 10, 2017 <br />Bid Submission Due Date Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at 3:30pm <br />Successful Bidder Notification* Tuesday, April 4, 2017 <br />Purchase Order Process* April 2017 <br /> <br /> * Tentative Dates <br /> <br />3. BID SUBMISSION DETAILS <br />Bid Submissions shall comply with applicable provisions of the Government Code of the State <br />of California and with the following: <br />a. Before submitting a bid, Bidders shall read this Notice Inviting Bids carefully and <br />inform themselves completely of all details outlined in this document. <br />b. Bidders shall return pages 2-6 and 15-16 of this Notice Inviting Bids. <br />c. Each Bid Submission shall be enclosed in a sealed envelope addressed to: <br />i. City of Redwood City at the Office of the City Clerk, 1017 Middlefield Road, <br />Redwood City, CA 94063 Attn: Greg Da Cunha <br />d. The outside of the envelope shall be plainly marked, with: <br />i. Name of the Bidder <br />ii. Title of this Notice Inviting Bids <br />iii. The Bid Submission Due Date <br />e. Bid Submissions must be received by Redwood City no later than the time and date <br />shown in this Notice Inviting Bids. <br /> <br />4. WITHDRAWAL OF BID <br />Any Bidder may withdraw his or her bid by written request (addressed to the City Contact), <br />prior to the Bid Submission Due Date. <br /> <br />5. INTERPRETATION <br />If a prospective Bidder is in doubt of the true meaning of any part of this "Notice Inviting Bids" <br />or finds discrepancies in, or omissions in the same, the Bidder may submit to the City a written <br />request for an interpretation or a correction thereof. Any interpretations or correction of the <br />proposed documents will only be made by an addendum sent via email from the City to each <br />person receiving a set of bid documents.
