<br /> that the provision of Police Officers is required for the control of traffic in <br /> connection with said "RUN ORACLE WORLDWIDE", the permittee agrees to <br /> pay the costs of providing the officers. <br /> 7. INSURANCE: Permittee shall furnish to the City public liability and property <br /> damage insurance naming the City of Redwood City, it Council, bo~rds, <br /> commissions, officers, employees, volunteers, and agents as insureds, or <br /> additional insureds, insuring the same against all claims for personal injury or <br /> death to any person or persons resulting or arising from the conducting of the <br /> activities herein permitted, or alleged to have resulted or alleged to have <br /> arisen therefrom, or from any act or omission to act, of Permittee in <br /> connection therewith, in the amounts of $1,000,000 for each person and <br /> $1,000,000 for each occurrence, and property damage insurance for damage <br /> or injury to, or destruction of property, including the loss of use thereof, in the <br /> amount of $1,000,000. Evidence of such insurance coverage in form <br /> satisfactory to the City shall be furnished by Permittee to the City at least ten <br /> (10) days prior to commencement of the event. <br /> 8. DamaQe to Public Property: Permittee shall reimburse the City for the <br /> costs for any damages to City owned property in the vicinity of the <br /> designated route, caused by or arising out of the conducting of the "RUN <br /> ORACLE WORLDWIDE" permitted hereunder, or the acts, omissions to act, <br /> of persons participating in said event. All signs or other markings placed in <br /> or upon public property, including the public right of way in connection with <br /> the"RUN ORACLE WORLDWIDE" shall be removed immediately following <br /> said event. <br /> 9. Compliance With Laws: Permittee shall comply with all appropriate and <br /> applicable rules, regulations and laws in connection with the conducting of <br /> said event, or any activities associated therewith. This permit shall be in <br /> addition to all other permits that are or may be required for conducting the <br /> "RUN ORACLE WORLDWIDE" or any associated activity. <br /> 10. Hold Harmless: Permittee shall assume the defense of and indemnify and <br /> save harmless the City of Redwood City, its Council, officers, boards, <br /> commissions, employees, volunteers, and agents from all suits, actions, <br /> damages, or claims to which the City may be subjected of any kind or nature <br /> whatsoever, resulting from or arising out of the performance or failure to <br /> perform of Permittee hereunder, or otherwise arising from or arising out of <br /> said race, or any activities herein permitted. <br /> 11. Additional Matters: Traffic control along the course will be the responsibility <br /> of the Permittee. Permittee will place all necessary cones to mark the route. <br /> Permittee will provide "crossing guards" to prevent conflict between runners <br /> 2 <br /> _. , ....~ <br />
