<br /> DES:djk ,\4/27/94 (044/27) <br /> o RIG I N A L 5/9/94 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 12178 <br /> <br /> ---------- <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING APPLICATION FOR FEDERAl, ASSISTANCE <br /> (COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT) ; CERTIFYING THAT <br /> THE CITY HAS FOLLOWED ITS ADOPTED CITIZEN PARTICIPATION <br /> PLAN; AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION AND FILING OF ALL <br /> DOCUMENTS PERTAINING THERETO (FISCAL YEAR 1994-95) <br /> WHEREAS, the Community Development Block Grant Program <br /> authorized pursuant to Title I of the Housing and Community <br /> Development Act of 1974, (P.L. 93-383) , as amended ("the Act") , <br /> provides for the issuance of grants in order to attain the <br /> objective of the development of viable urban communities, by <br /> providing decent housing and a suitable living environment and <br /> expanding economic opportunities, principally for persons of low <br /> or moderate income; and <br /> WHEREAS, there has been presented to, and reviewed by this <br /> Council, an application to the United States Department of <br /> Housing and Urban Development for a Community Development Block <br /> Grant in the amount of approximately Eight Hundred Twenty-nine <br /> Thousand and No/100 Dollars ($829,000.00) for the period of July <br /> 1, 1994, through June 30, 1995; and <br /> WHEREAS, there has been prepared by the Director of <br /> Community Development a Notice of Determination, determining that <br /> the proposed Community Development Block Grant Program, as set <br /> forth in the aforesaid application, is exempt from the <br /> requirements of NEPA and CEQA as a ministerial project and does <br /> not have a significant effect on the environment, and a notice of <br /> such determination filed with the County Clerk of San Mateo <br /> County; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to the requirements of Section 104(a) of <br /> ~.."--~.._-~..<...--~~._"--....--. ~ <br />
