<br /> DES:dft 1,/19/94 (024/36) <br /> o RIG I N A L 4/26/94 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 12173 <br /> ---------- <br /> RESOLUTION ADOPTING NON DISPOSAL FACILITY ELEMENT <br /> FOR THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY FOR INCLUSION IN <br /> COUNTY-WIDE INTEGRATED WASTE MANAGEMENT PLAN <br /> WHEREAS, the California Integrated Waste Management Act of <br /> 1989 (the "Act"; Pub. Res. Code §40000 et seq.), requires, among <br /> other matters, preparation by each City of a Nondisposal Facility <br /> Element for inclusion in the County-wide Integrated Waste <br /> Management Plan; and <br /> WHEREAS, this City together with the County of San Mateo and <br /> the Cities of Atherton, Belmont, Burlingame, Colma, Daly City, <br /> East Palo Alto, Foster City, Half Moon Bay, Hillsborough, Menlo <br /> Park, Millbrae, Portola Valley, San Carlos, San Mateo, South San <br /> Francisco, and Woodside have prepared a Joint Nondisposal <br /> Facility Element to serve as said element for each of said <br /> entities; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Joint Nondisposal Facility Element which <br /> includes, among other matters, a description of any new solid <br /> waste facilities and the expansion of existing solid waste <br /> facilities that will be needed to implement the City's Source <br /> Reduction and Recycling Element and thereby to meet the diversion <br /> requirements of the Act (Pub. Res. Code §41780); and <br /> WHEREAS, the draft Joint Nondisposal Facilities Element was <br /> submitted to the City/County Association of Governments, which <br /> agency acts as the solid waste management coordinating task force <br /> established pursuant to Public Resources Code Section 40950, and <br /> ......_>." ~ <br /> I <br />
