<br /> DES:d~lr 02/08/94 (045/37) <br /> o RIG I N A L DES:d~ 03/16/94R <br /> 3/21/94 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 12153 <br /> ---------- <br /> RESOLUTION CONDEMNING BUILDING AT 3726 LAUREL WAY AS A <br /> PUBLIC NUISANCE AND DIRECTING ABATEMENT THEREOF <br /> WHEREAS, the Building Official of the City of Redwood City has <br /> determined that that certain vacant building, a single family <br /> dwelling, located at 3726 Laurel Way (Assessors Parcel Number <br /> [ " APN " ] 057-301-230 and 057-301-240) Redwood City, is a public <br /> nuisance as defined by Section 9.5 of the Code of the City of <br /> Redwood City in that it has become manifestly unsafe for the purpose <br /> for which it was intended to be used; has been vacant in excess of <br /> two years; has become unfit for human occupancy and is unsanitary <br /> because of inadequate maintenance, dilapidation, decay and damage; <br /> has been maintained in violation of specific regulatory requirements <br /> and prohibitions applicable thereto and constitutes a dangerous <br /> building and fire hazard as those terms are described in Section 9.5 <br /> of the Code of the City of Redwood City and endangers the life, <br /> health, property and safety of the public; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Building Official has given notice to the owner of <br /> said building to appear before this Council to show cause, if any, <br /> why said building should not be declared a public nuisance and <br /> abated in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 9 of the Code of <br /> the City of Redwood City; and <br /> WHEREAS, on March 21, 1994, hearing was held on the question of <br /> the condition of said structure and the estimated costs of its <br /> reconstruction, repair or removal, at which hearing the Building <br /> Official, the owner of said building and all others interested in <br /> the matter testified or were given the opportunity to testify; and <br /> _. .., __".~,._,. . .......~..__ w··_u..~_·. ,._~_,_~,_,_____~. ..--.-.---.-. <br />
