SUHSD seeks funding from Redwood City 2020 to partially fund the Director <br />position at Sequoia High School's Teen Resource Center for the 2016-2017 school <br />year in the amount of $50,506.00. The Sequoia Teen Resource Center provides <br />information and presentations to facilitate students in learning where and how to <br />access resources at school and community; improving their academic performance, <br />behavior and decision making; developing communication and leadership skills; and <br />learning new coping skills and practices to improve their physical, social and <br />emotional health. <br />1. Term. Unless earlier terminated, the term of this Agreement is for the 2016- <br />2017 school year at SUHHD. <br />2. Services. SUHSD shall provide the Services listed below ("Services") in <br />consideration for receiving grant funding. <br />SUHSD will employ one Director of Sequoia High School's Sequoia Teen Resource <br />Center ("STRC") for the 2016-17 school year. The Director shall carry out the <br />following responsibilities: <br />1) Provide leadership to STRC's operations. <br />2) Coordinate and integrate student support services with the school's <br />academic and extracurricular programs. <br />3) Expand collaborative partners and raise additional resources to support <br />the ongoing success of the Center. <br />4) Assist with the design and implementation of outcome evaluation efforts to <br />track the impact of the STRC. <br />The Director shall also perform the following tasks: <br />• Provide leadership and oversee the operations of the Sequoia Teen <br />Resource Center <br />• Coordinate and manage the development and implementation of <br />community school-based mental health, social and youth development <br />services that enhance the health and safety of children and families and <br />improve educational outcomes of students <br />• Monitor the STRC budget and provide fiscal management <br />• Oversee, supervise, and manage staff, volunteers, and interns <br />• Develop and foster supportive governance structure that Includes public <br />and community based organizations, school staff, and youth <br />• Manage program communications in response to changing needs <br />• Research and act on funding opportunities, including grant proposal <br />REV: 05.25.17 RL <br />Page 2 of 5 <br />ATTY/AGR.2017.125/SUHSD Sequoia Teen Resource Center Director <br />
