ATTY/RESO.0057/CC RESO ACCEPTING GRANT FROM CABIN ROAD FOUNDATION <br />REV: 06-15-17 MI <br />Page 1 of 1 <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY ACCEPTING A $100,000 GRANT FROM CABIN ROAD <br />FOUNDATION IN FISCAL YEAR 2017-2018, AUTHORIZING AND <br />APPROPRIATING THE GRANT FUNDS FOR A WELLNESS PROGRAM <br />FOR POLICE OFFICERS, AMENDING THE BUDGET FOR FISCAL <br />YEAR 2017-2018 ACCORDINGLY, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY <br />MANAGER TO EXECUTE ALL ASSOCIATED DOCUMENTS <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Cabin Road Foundation has offered the City of Redwood City (“City”) <br />a grant in the amount of $100,000 to fund a wellness program for police officers; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, City staff has recommended accepting the grant funds in Fiscal Year <br />2017-2018; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, City staff has further recommended authorizing the grant funds to be <br />used and appropriated for a wellness program for police officers and amending the <br />Budget for Fiscal Year 2017-2018 accordingly. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF REDWOOD CITY, CALIFORNIA AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The City Council accepts the grant in the amount of $100,000 from Cabin <br />Road Foundation in Fiscal Year 2017-2018. <br /> <br />2. The City Council authorizes and appropriates the grant funds to create a <br />wellness program for police officers and amends the Budget for Fiscal Year 2017-2018 <br />in the amount of $100,000. <br /> <br />3.
