The following table presents by basic fees <br />by rental type. <br />City Facility Rentals <br />Redwood City - Current $30 / hr - $115 / hr <br />Redwood City – Full Cost Recovery $25 / hr – $97 / hr <br />San Mateo $80 / hr - $245 / hr <br />Burlingame $15 / hr - $100 / hr <br />San Carlos $57 – application fee <br /> <br />As the table above shows there is great variety in the amount of fees charged <br />among jurisdictions. The library is fairly comparable as it relates to other jurisdictions. It <br />is important to note that the library at Burlingame also charges rental applicants <br />additional fees for any use of library equipment. The Redwood City Library should <br />consider adopting such a policy. A visual comparison of these rates is also shown as an <br />attachment to this report. <br />3. ANNUAL REVENUE IMPACTS <br />When taking into account actual workload data from the previous fiscal year, <br />Library Services is currently maintaining a cost recovery level of 14%.
