County of San Mateo Zoning: The northern 0.43 acres of the project site is designated M-1 <br />(Light Industrial) on the San Mateo County Zoning Map. <br /> <br />7. Project Location: The approximately 1.12-acre project site is located at 860 Charter Street in <br />Redwood City and unincorporated San Mateo County and is generally bounded by Bay Road to <br />the north, existing light industrial and commercial uses to the east and south, and Charter Street <br />to the west. <br /> <br />8. Description of Project: The existing project site is comprised of two immediately contiguous <br />parcels of land, one of which is located within the City of Redwood City and the other of which <br />is located within the County of San Mateo. The site is currently developed with an approxi- <br />mately 23,200-square-foot, one-story warehouse structure within the City boundaries and an <br />associated surface parking lot and metal storage shed within the County boundaries. <br />The proposed project involves conversion of the site into a public TK-5 charter elementary <br />school, which would be operated by Rocketship Education. Associated improvements include <br />new landscaping and playground areas and modifications to existing site access, circulation and <br />parking.
