AIR QUALITY. (Less-Than- <br />Significant Impact) <br /> <br />An air quality plan describes air pollution control strategies to be implemented by a city, county, or <br />region classified as a non-attainment area. The main purpose of an air quality plan is to bring an area <br />into compliance with the requirements of federal and State air quality standards. <br /> <br />The project site is located within the San Francisco Bay Area Air Basin and is within the jurisdiction <br />of the Bay Area Air Quality Management District (BAAQMD). The BAAQMD is responsible for <br />developing a Clean Air Plan that guides the region's air quality planning efforts to attain the <br />California Ambient Air Quality Standard (CAAQS).
