City of Redwood City 1400 Broadway Redwood City, CA 94063-2594 PROPOSAL INFORMATION Notice to Contractors Notice is hereby given that sealed proposals will be received by the City of Redwood City, located at 1400 Broadway, Redwood City, CA 94063 until 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 15,2004, for furnishing any and all labor, equipment, materials, and other items necessary to do the following: STORM PUMP STATION FLAP GATE REPAIR & REPLACEMENT SERVICES Incurrinq Costs The City is not liable for any cost incurred by a firm responding to this Request for Proposal. Evaluation of Proposal Proposals will be evaluated to ascertain which proposal will best meet the needs of the City. It is anticipated that additional requests for information may be necessary in order to clarify parts of the proposal. All proposals will be considered. Evaluation considerations will include the following: 1. Responsiveness of the proposal in clearly demonstrating an understanding of the City's objectives and the ability to meet the City's needs. a. Familiar with pumps in City's systems b. Ability to recondition and replace flap gates efficiently according to City's specifications and return them to service c. Firm's average turnaround for flap gate repairs and replacements d. Ability to respond quickly to emergency needs 2. Cost - although a significant factor, may not be the dominant factor; cost is particularly important when all the other evaluation criteria are relatively equal. 3. Technical expertise of the firm and those assigned to the work, particularly experience in repair and reconditioning of Waterman flap gates. a. Experience installation and repair of Waterman flap gates. b. Identify if you are an authorized distributor of Waterman flap gates c. Provide a list of clients serviced over the past three years 4. Demonstrate ability to effectively work with City staff and representatives, evaluated primarily through reference checks and client list.
