Vic Holbrook, 28 Diller Street, Redwood City, thanked the Council for their <br />openness and concern, and for providing a forum for everyone to address the issues <br />that affect them. <br />------------------------------------------------------------------------------ - - - - -- <br />MATTERS OF COUNCIL INTEREST <br />a. Councilwoman Buchan attended the very successful "Just Say No to Drugs "" tennis <br />tournament at Peninsula Covenant Community Center, August 19 and 20, which <br />raised $3,000 for Red Ribbon Week to be held in October. <br />b. Councilman Murray thanked the Redwood City Park and Recreation Department for <br />their quick action in removing graffiti from fences in Redwood Shores. <br />C. Mayor Greenalch announced that Project Read will hold the 1st annual Trivia Bee <br />on September 8, 1989 and the Community Activities Building and invited everyone <br />to attend the dinner and watch the teams compete, including the Council and <br />City Management teams. <br />BOARD, COMMISSION AND COMMITTEE REPORTS <br />None <br />STAFF REPORTS <br />3.
