Y and between the REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY <br /> THE CITY F REDWOOD CITY, a redevelopment agency of the State <br />of California, ("Agency") , and the REDWOOD CITY ART CENTER, a <br />nonprofit corporation of the State of California ( " RCAC If) ; <br /> WIT N E SSE T H : <br /> WHEREAS, RCAC promotes cultural enrichment and involvement <br />in the visual arts for the citizens of the City of Redwood City; <br />and <br /> WHE REAS , cultural and artistic activities play an important <br />role in the community; and <br /> WHEREAS, this Agency recognizes the importance of providing <br />physical improvements promotive of the visual arts in <br />redevelopment project areas of the City of Redwood City; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Redwood City Art Center proposes to operate and <br />maintain a visual arts center to be located at 2625 Broadway, <br />Redwood City (the "Project") , within the downtmvn subarea of <br />Redevelopment Project No. 2· and <br /> , <br /> WHEREAS, tenant improvements are required for the Project; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, the parties agree as follows: <br /> l. GRANT; PURPOSE. Agency hereby grants to RCAC a sum not <br />to exceed Thirty Thousand Dollars ($30,000.00) to defray the <br />costs of those certain tenant improvements for the Project more <br />particularly described under the heading "Redevelopment Agency <br /> -.. T <br />
