<br /> (20%) of the pole locations listed on the PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS on the <br /> Execution Date: and <br /> (3) Extend the work completion dates listed on the SCHEDULE OF PERFORMANCE <br /> if the ENGINEER is satisfied that METRIC OM has substantially completed the <br /> work to be performed as of the specified completion date or is satisfied that <br /> METRIC OM will diligently pursue completion of the work where completion was <br /> delayed for reasons beyond METRICOM's reasonable control; provided, however, <br /> that during any extension period, all of the terms and conditions of this <br /> AGREEMENT shall remain in full force and effect and METRICOM shall maintain <br /> all insurance policies, bonds and other security instruments required to be <br /> maintained by METRIC OM during the term of this AGREEMENT. <br /> Section 3 WORK STANDARDS. <br /> A. METRICOM shall use and exercise due care, caution, skill and expertise in performing all <br /> work under this AGREEMENT and shall take all reasonable steps to safeguard work site <br /> areas, including, without limitation, existing facilities and property. <br /> B. METRlCOM has read and is familiar with the CITY's 1995 General Conditions Standard <br /> Specifications and Drawings for Public Works Construction ("STANDARDS"), the 1995 <br /> Standards and subsequent addenda or special provisions for Public Works Construction, <br /> and, except as otherwise expressly required under the terms of this AGREEMENT, agrees <br /> to perform all work under this AGREEMENT in accordance with the 1995 STANDARDS <br /> for Public Works Construction, and subsequent addenda or special provisions for Public <br /> Works Construction. <br /> C. METRIC OM shall plan, organize and perform its work under this AGREEMENT in the <br /> manner that results in the least amount of traffic disruption. Whenever applicable, <br /> METRIC OM shall comply with the principles and standards set forth by Caltrans' "Manual <br /> of Traffic Controls for Construction and Maintenance of Work Zones." METRIC OM shall <br /> provide all signs, barricades, arrowboards, lights, high-level flag trees, flag personnel and <br /> other devices, materials or personnel that may be needed in connection with the safe and <br /> careful performance of the work allowed under this AGREEMENT. <br /> D. METRIC OM hereby represents and warrants that METRIC OM shall perform no <br /> excavation, trenching, coring, boring, or digging into the ground or installation of any <br /> equipment or other material into the ground, or any other underground work in connection <br /> with the work to be performed or SERVICES to be provided by METRlCOM under this <br /> AGREEMENT and shall not otherwise disturb or disrupt the operation or maintenance of <br /> any sanitary sewers, storm drains, gas or water mains, or other underground conduits, cables <br /> or maIns. <br /> E.
