Should a complete resubmittal be required, Meyer MoM~ Associates recommends that it be processed as a combined PSRJPR under the recent guidelines issued by Calttans. TASK 4: PS&E The plans and specifications for various elements of the system will be prepared to satisfy the required functions and criteria specified during the previous tasks. The final bid package will include all necessary improvements to be performed by contractor for a complete and operational system. The primary elements which we would concentrate on during this task are: Software Hardware Communication The system software specifications will address the architecture, operating system, compatibility, and expansion capability. The system hardware specifications will address signal system controllers at individual intersections and other field or central equipment needed to be included in the PS&E package. The design sub-tasks include the following: 4.1 30 Percent Plans MMA will prepare 30 percent plans for review and approval by the City, Caltrans, as appropriate. The 30 percent plans will show final design of the interconnect system, including intersection drawings, cabinet and equipment detail. The hardwire interconnect drawings will be prepared at a scale of 1 :500 (metries) and the intersection details for wireless interconnect locations will be prepared at a scale of 1:200 (metric). In addition, prior to procPl"liing with preparation of any plans, we will contact Caltrans staff to obtain their input for appropriate scale to be used, since the standards are still being finalized at the present time. 4.2 60 Percent Plans MMA will prepare 60 percent plans for review and approval by the City, Caltrans, as appropriate. The 60 percent plans will include all drawings required for construction, and ordering the equipment, including preliminary initial cost estimates. 4.3 90 Percent PS&E MMA will prepare 90 percent plans for review and approval by the City, Caltrans, as appropriate. The 90 percent plans will include 60 percent plans updated in response to comments from the City, technical specifications, and cost estimate. The PS&E will be prepared in conformance with current edition of Calttans Guide for Submittal of Plans, Specifications, and Estimates, Standard Plans, and Standard Specifications.
