6.1.E. - Page 23 processing tax, adjustment charge or other taxes or charges are imposed or changed by Congress after the date set for opening bids and made applicable directly upon the production, manufacture or sale of the supplies to be furnished, and are paid by the Supplier on the articles or supplies furnished, then the prices stated in the schedules will be increased or decreased accordingly, and any amounts due the Supplier as the result of such changes will be charged to the City and added on vouchers (or invoices) as separate items. 18. PAYMENTS Payment will be made promptly following delivery, installation, inspection, and acceptance of work by the City and receipt of invoice. 19. BIDDER'S STATEMENT If awarded the contract, the undersigned hereby agrees to supply and install all components of a water quality monitoring and control system according to bid specifications within the stated time period ("maximum number of days till delivery to Redwood City"), commencing upon receipt of the Purchase Order by the Successful Bidder. If the price per item and the total amount named by a Bidder do not agree, it will be assumed that the error was made in computing the total amount and the price per item alone will be considered as representing the Bidder's intention. The undersigned has checked carefully all the figures listed in the Bid Proposal Form and understands that the City will not be responsible for any errors or omissions on the part of the undersigned in making up this bid. The undersigned hereby certifies• that this bid is genuine, and not sham or collusive, or made in the interest or in behalf of any person not named herein, and that the undersigned has not directly or indirectly induced or solicited any other Bidder to put in a sham bid, or any other person, firm or corporation to refrain from bidding, and that the undersigned has not in any manner sought by collusion to secure for himself an advantage of any kind whatever. The undersigned acknowledges he or she is responsible for all costs incurrent in the development and submission of their bid, the City assumes no contractual obligation as a result of this Notice Inviting Bids, the City shall not be contractually bound until the City issues a Purchase Order to the Successful Bidder. The undersigned acknowledges that the City does not pay for goods or services before the City receives them and that the Submitted Bid should not propose contract terms that require upfront payment or deposits. The undersigned agrees that this bid may not be withdrawn for a period of 30 days after the bid submission due date.
