Evaluate Future Conditions Without the Proie ct <br />U sing the recent traffic counts and updated project list, 'lIe will estimate the traffic generated by <br />buildout of all develo~ment on the Redwood Shores P:nmsula and other nearby areas east of <br />Hi¡hway 101 that af ect the study intersections and f:eeway ramps. We will distribute and <br />assign the ..f¡rojected traffic to the street system and perf.)nn a morning and afternoon ลก,ak hour <br />analysis. he future analysis will include evaluation of the intersection of Shoreline 've and <br />Redwood Shores Parkway, anticipated with the future extension of Shoreline Drive. Careful <br />attention will be paid to the potential of traffic diverting to Redwood Shores Parkway via <br />Bridge Parkway due to congestion on Marine Parkway <br />Task 4. Evaluate Future Conditions With the frQject <br />We will estimate the trip generation of the project anel distribute and assign the traffic to the <br />street system for morning and afternoon peak hour analyses. A comparison of trip generation <br />rates between Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE), the Crmn Study rates, and rates <br />derived from the CentrUm groject traffic counts will b~ submitted to the City for review. We <br />assume the City will identi the appropriate rate for us~ in this study. <br />The future analysis with the project will include evaJuation of the project's proposed main <br />entrance on Redwood Shores Parkway, particularly thl: need for signalization. This task will <br />compare traffic conditions with and without the projectUld identify any signifiCant impacts that <br />may require nùtigation measures. We will also review the requirements of and the project's <br />relationship to the San Mateo County Congestion Management p~am (CMF) including the <br />pr~ect's impacts on CMP facilities and LOS standards, BAAQ Regulation 13, an area.. <br />wi e Transportation System Management (TSM), and the contemplated traffic assessment <br />district. <br />Task 5. Develop RoadwlO' In1provemc~ <br />We will develop conceptual improvements to impro"e adjacent roadways and intersections <br />such as signalization and channelization as reqnired. Measures will also include <br />recommendations for channelizing and controlling project access intersections with sublic <br />streets, and trip reduction measures which will meet th~ requirements of the CMP, Regu aUon <br />13, and area-wide TSM. <br />Task 6. Documentarian and Meetinas. <br />We will document the findings of our analyses in a report including necessary tables and <br />graphics and a techrùcal appendix with background information. <br />The project manager will attend one initial meeting to ·;k.ick-off' the project and discuss traffic <br />issues and one additional meeting after completion of the draft report to discuss findings and <br />res10nd to comments from the applicant and City staff.
