<br /> 2. Status <br /> Contract Employee shall serve at the pleasure of the City Manager, subject to the terms and <br /> conditions hereof: and shall not acquire a property interest in employment or a right to <br /> continuing employment with the City of Redwood City. The terms, convenants and <br /> conditions of Contract Employee s employment with the City are expressly limited by and <br /> to the terms, convenants and conditions of the Agreement. <br /> 3. Compensations <br /> a. Rate - Contract Employee shall be compensated for the perfonnance of the <br /> above described services at the rate of$5. 269.00 Dollars per month. Payment of such <br /> compensation shall be made bi-weekly. Contract Employee shall be paid for approved <br /> overtime, at the rate of time and.one-balffor time worked in excess offorty (40) hours per <br /> work/week. <br /> b. Benefits - Contract Employee shall be entitled to the following benefits: <br /> PERS Retirement: Contract Employee shall be entitled to participate in the <br /> Public Employees Retirement System. The City will contribute both the employee and the <br /> employer's portion of the PERS contribution. <br /> State Disability Insurance: Contract Employee shall be entitled to participate in the <br /> State Disability Insurance Program. Applicable: ./ Yes No <br /> Mileage: Mileage reimbursement shall be at the prevailing IRS rate for travel <br /> requested and authorized by the City. <br /> Recognized Holidays: City shall provide paid holidays as listed in Exhibit "B", <br /> attached hereto and incorporated by this reference. <br /> Bereavement Leave: Contract Employee may be absent with pay up to three (3) <br /> consecutive days (four (4) days ifrequired to travel over 300 miles one way) available upon <br /> commencement of employment because of a death in Contract Employee's immediate <br /> family. <br /> Sick Leave: Contract Employee shall accrue sick leave on a monthly basis at a rate <br /> of one day each month of service up to a total of 12 days per year. Sick leave shall be <br /> available after six (6) months of service. Contract Employee sball not be paid not unused <br /> sick leave. <br /> ._.'~". ..,..... ..< <br />
