Redwood City 2000 Coordinating Committee: The Coordinating Committee shall <br /> consist of a policY maker and a top staff person representing each of the Parties and also <br /> may include the following members: <br /> 1. Representatives of City and County Law Enforcement <br /> 2. Representatives of neighborhood groups <br /> 3. Representatives of the medical community <br /> 4. Representatives of the non-profit community <br /> 5. Representatives from the Community Action Team <br /> C. Project Coordinator: The Coordinating Committee will be supported by a Project <br /> Coordinator who will work with the parties and other members of the Redwood City <br /> 2000 Coordinating Committee as follows: <br /> 1. Facilitate communication and skill building between local collaboratives, <br /> coalitions and task forces and the Coordinating Committee~ <br /> 2. Facilitate strategic planning process through the provision of staff support to <br /> the Coordinating Committee; <br /> 3. Synthesize community organization strategies including organizing focus <br /> groups, surveys, town hall meetings; <br /> 4. Assist in developing collaborative grant applications. <br /> D. Community Action Team: The Community Action Team shall be composed of <br /> community representatives who want to make a difference by implementing projects <br /> for Redwood City 2000 at the grass roots level. <br /> 1. The Community Action Team shall meet at least monthly and be divided into <br /> subgroups, Strategic Direction teams, that will also meet at least monthly to <br /> work on specific projects. <br /> 2. The Community Action Team shall have the follówing functions: <br /> a. Complete previous strategic planning process and quality of life <br /> evaluation. <br /> b. Schedule L"1d. crganiz: meetings. <br /> c. Develop a workplan for implementing the Strategic Plan. <br /> d. Provide community leadership and opportunity to those who want to <br /> assist in this effort. <br /> e. Assist Strategic Direction Team leaders with implementing their <br /> projects. <br /> 5. ORGANIZATION STRATEGIES. <br /> A. The Coordinating Committee shall direct its efforts towards Redwood City and <br /> its immediate sphere of influence. <br /> 3 <br /> . '_.'~"" ...... ...>...
