<br />east of Whipple Avenue to 0.6 kilometer (0.4 miles) west of Whipple Avenue in <br />the City of Redwood City; and <br /> WHEREAS, ramp connections and additional auxiliary lanes to State <br />Route 101 to serve the Brittan Avenue Interchange with said Route 101 are <br />proposed to be constructed at the cost of the City of San Carlos, California (the <br />"Project"); and <br /> WHEREAS, portions of the Project lie within the City of Redwood City; <br />and <br /> WHEREAS, a Plan Map has been prepared by the California Department <br />of Transportation ("CaITrans"), which Map shows the location of the Project as it <br />affects streets in the City of Redwood City; and <br /> WHEREAS, CalTrans has requested that the City of Redwood City <br />approve the Project and enter into an agreement permitting changes to certain <br />city streets; and <br /> WHEREAS, an agreement entitled, "Freeway Agreement" (form marked, <br />04-SM-101-KP 10.0/12.2 (PM 6.2/7.6)), providing for the aforesaid approval and <br />related modifications to the aforesaid prior agreements, has been presented to, <br />and reviewed by this Council; <br /> NOW THEREFORE; <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> 1. This Council hereby approves the configuration of the Project (as <br />shown on the Plan Map attached to the Agreement described in paragraph 2, <br />Reso-30 2 <br />G:/shared/RedwoodlCouncil <br />08/06I96R <br />DES:djk <br /> ....... ..... <br />
