SURVEYING <br />Brian Lee <br />Senior Civil Engineer <br />City of Redwood City <br />1020 Middlefield Road <br />Redwood City, CA 94064 WH No. 275-42 <br />Re: James Avenue Utility Undergrounding <br />Dear Mr. Lee: 1}11~'1 <br />This will provide you with a Scope of Work and Estimate of Costs for preparation of the plans, <br />specifications, and estimate( s) of cost for the undergrounding of electric, phone, and cable TV <br />facilities for the above referenced project. <br />Scope - Plans <br />The plans will be developed in three aspects: <br />1. A plan view developed fÌ"om the layout sheets of the roadway project. Scale will be 1" = <br /> 20'. <br />2. On this plan view will be notations denoting the trench and the elements therein. <br />3 The trenches will be shown in cross-sectional view on separate sheets. <br />There will be an initial submittal to the utility companies and a meeting held to discuss changes, <br />corrections, etc. Final plans will then be prepared and forwarded to the companies for their <br />approval. <br />The plans will then be numbered and made a part of the contract plans. <br />Specifications <br />Specifications will be developed utilizing the City's or the company's as appropriate. <br />Estimate <br />A total estimate will be made and a division of costs between the three companies will be <br />provided.
