2. Resolution in recognition of Dorothy Philbrick, <br />founder and director of Kainos Home and Training <br />Center (301 -04) <br />Mayor Greenalch presented the resolution to Mrs. Philbrick who thanked the <br />Councilmembers for their support for the Kainos Home and Training Center <br />throughout the years. <br />Title and resolution read by Mayor Greenalch. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 11132 IN RECOGNITION OF DOROTHY PHILBRICK, FOUNDER AND <br />DIRECTOR OF KAINOS HOME AND TRAINING CENTER FOR DEVELOPMENTALLY DISABLED ADULT <br />AND RECIPIENT OF THE 1989 SAN MATEO COUNTY FAIR AND FLORAL FIESTA SENIOR <br />CITIZENS OF THE YEAR AWARD <br />Adopted by acclamation. <br />----------------------------------------- - - - - -- <br />3. Awards ceremony for owners of property designated <br />historic landmarks (202 -04) <br />Mayor Greenalch thanked Ken Rolandelli, Chairman, and all the members of <br />the Historic Resources Advisory Committee and Senior Planner Charles Jany <br />for their efforts in securing recognition of these historic landmarks in <br />Redwood City. <br />"The Baptist Church ", 402 Heller Street, Redwood City, owned by the Roman <br />Catholic Church <br />"The Granger Estate", 1417 Middlefield Road, Redwood City <br />Hazel Mitchell, 423 Beech Street, Redwood City <br />Father Jose Rodriguez of St. Anthony's Church accepted the Certificate of <br />Historic Designation No. 18 on behalf of the Roman Catholic Church, tenant <br />of the property, 402 Heller Street, Redwood City known as "The Baptist <br />Church ". Father Rodriguez thanked the Council for their support and <br />thanked Senior Planner Charles Jany for his successful hard work in <br />earning these designations. <br />Mrs. Elizabeth Tor, niece of Olive Granger, accepted the Certificate of <br />Historic Designation No. 19 on behalf of the Granger Estate, 1417 <br />Middlefield Road, Redwood City and thanked the Council for the honor. <br />Certificate of Historic Designation No. 20 will be sent to Hazel Mitchell, <br />in care of her son Mr. Washeen Robinson, 423 Beech Street, Redwood City. <br />--------------------------------------------- - - - - -- <br />Regular Meeting MINUTE BOOK NO. 49 <br />9/11/89 Page No. 90 <br />Page 2 <br />
