Hazardous Waste Management Plan <br />Report: Planning Director, 8/15/89 <br />San Mateo County Hazardous Waste Management Plan, January 1989 <br />San Mateo County Hazardous Waste Management Plan, Final <br />Environmental Impact Report, June 1989 <br />Planning Director Joel Patterson advised that the State of California has <br />turned down every plan submitted so far due to the inclusion of the "fair <br />share" concept (which allows each County to accept the equivalent of its <br />own hazardous waste production and no more). If counties limit the <br />amount of hazardous waste they will accept, companies will be unable to <br />build economically viable disposal plants.
