Mayor Greenalch and Councilman Bury, on behalf of the City Council, congratulated the Redwood City Reds, read the proclamation and distributed the Certificates of Recognition to the members of the Redwood City Reds: Manager Bill Mitchell, Coach Al Meyers, founder Al Rollins, tournament All -Star Jim Theisen, John Brand, Jim Candler, Pete Conley, Tom Fillipo, Warren Goodnow, Larry Gotelli, Dave Jenkins, Bob Kiesman, Gary Petrini, Dean Prince, John Serna, Joe Serna, and Mike Vigo. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- - - - - -- PUBLIC COMMENT a. David Haussler, 155 Cerrito Avenue, Redwood City advised Council that Build, Inc., contractor for the water storage reservoir No. 2 in Redwood Shores might be violating the terms of its agreement with the City. Mayor Greenalch advised Mr. Haussler that City staff is monitoring this project very closely. b. Nita Spangler, 970 Edgewood Road, Redwood City publicly thanked Rudy Rohr for the flags at Union Cemetery on Veterans Day, November 11, 1989. Mayor Greenalch will write a letter to Mr. Rohr thanking him for his efforts in tribute to our veterans. Request for Council action on three issues regarding water service in the ELH /Woodside /Canada College community area - September 21, 1989 letter from Carole Henley, Emerald Lake Hills Homeowners Association (1204 -06) Reports: Letter of 9/21/89 from Carole Henley, Emerald Lake Hills Assoc. Community Development Director, 11/1/89 Information Only City Attorney memo to Council, 11/9/89 Carole Henley's 9/21/89 letter requested the following: 1. That a member of the ELH /Woodside /Canada College Community be present during the meetings and negotiations for the sale of the "Hills" water system to California Water Service. 2. That a member of the ELH /Woodside /Canada College Community be allowed to review annually all of the accounts pertaining to the expenses and revenues and any other accounts that pertain to the operation of the water system that would be charged to the "Hills" accounts. 3. That a member of the ELH /Woodside /Canada College Community be given annual plans for the water system maintenance and improvements for review prior to adoption by the City Council in their annual budget approval session.
