M /S: Claire /Stangel to uphold appeal of denial by Planning Commission to <br />allow the prezoning of 15,500 square foot parcel, which would be annexed to <br />the City from San Mateo County into R -1 (Residential Single - Family) <br />District. <br />Carried by unanimous roll call vote. <br />MINUTE ORDER NO. 89 -164 <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br />a. Donald H. Frohlich, 491 Topaz Street, Redwood City addressed Council regarding <br />staff responses to written comments concerning the Draft General Plan. He <br />advised he was impressed with Councilman Murray's in -depth review; suggested a <br />review of the CIP be conducted and long range items be included in the General <br />Plan; long range plans for municipal facilities should be included in the <br />General Plan; street standards should be established for all new streets and <br />for existing streets; and suggested placing utilities underground should be a <br />goal of the General Plan. (201 -01) <br />Councilman Claire advised he would prepare a written response to Mr. Frohlich <br />MEMO 12/19/89 <br />b. Mayor Greenalch advised the Council had been asked to hear Item No. 11, <br />request from Supervisor Anna Eshoo for financial support of $500.00 for the <br />annual Women's Hall of Fame dinner, out of order at this time, and would honor <br />the request. <br />Patt Rushinq, 2564 Briarfield Avenue, Redwood City, Vice chair of the Advisory <br />Council on Women, described the services provided by the Women's Center and <br />advised that the $500 contribution as well as all the proceeds from the annual <br />Women's Hall of Fame dinner would go directly to the Women's Center. <br />Mayor Greenalch advised that further discussion on policy and procedures <br />concerning financial requests would continue when Item No. 11 is considered in <br />its regular agenda order. <br />--------------------------------------------------------------------------- - - - - -- <br />MATTERS OF COUNCIL INTEREST <br />a.
