<br /> MEMORAND UM <br /> ---------- <br /> Department of Human Resources <br /> DATE: November 12, 1996 <br /> TO: Ralph Pacheco, RCMEA President <br /> FROM: Maria Rivera-Peña, Human Resources Director <br /> SUBJECT: CHANGE IN HOLIDAY SCHEDULE EFFECTIVE 1/1/97 <br /> 1) MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR DAY: <br /> Article 16.2.2 of the Memorandum of Understanding between the City of <br /> Redwood City and the Redwood City Management employees Association dated <br /> October 1, 1995 through September 30, 1998, states: <br /> . " . . .. In the event that another bargaining unit or units trade a current City <br /> granted holiday for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, such an exchange of holidays <br /> may be implemented with the Redwood City Management Employees <br /> Association the next following calendar year." <br /> The Service Employees International Union has made an exchange of the <br /> Admission Day holiday for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day in it's recently completed <br /> negotiations with the City. Therefore, pursuant to Section 13.1, we would like to <br /> implement the exchange of holidays for RCMEA Personnel effective January 1, <br /> 1997. <br /> 2.
