<br /> y <br /> 16.21.2 One administrative holiday and such other days as may be proclaimed local <br /> holidays. At the option of the employee, an employee may receive eight (8) <br /> hours of pay at hislher straight-time rate of pay in lieu of the administrative <br /> holiday. <br /> 16.21.3 In the event that during the term of this MOD the City declares Martin <br /> Luther King, Jr. Day as a local holiday, or grants it as an additional local <br /> holiday for members of another City bargaining unit, members of the <br /> Redwood City Management Employees Association bargaining unit shall <br /> receive that day as an additional holiday. In the event that another bargaining <br /> unit or units trade a current City granted holiday for Martin Luther King, Jr. <br /> Day, such an exchange of holidays may be implemented with the Redwood I <br /> City Management Employees Association the next following calendar year. <br /> 16.22 Weekend Holidays I <br /> When any of the above holidays fall on Sunday, the following Monday shall be <br /> considered the holiday. When any of the above holidays fall on Saturday, the <br /> preceding Friday shall be considered the holiday. <br /> 16.23 Work on a Holiday <br /> A management unit member who is required to work on any of the holidays listed in I <br /> Section 16.21.1 above shall receive instead a paid day off on the workday either <br /> preceding or following the holiday as determined by the department head. <br /> 16.24 Holiday During Vacation <br /> In the event any of the holidays specified in Section 16.21.1 above occurs while an ( <br /> employee is on vacation or sick leave, the holiday shall not be charged as vacation or f,' <br /> sick leave. <br /> ARTICLE 17 <br /> HOURS OF WORK <br /> The regular workweek shall be forty (40) hours per week.
