Monthlv staff meetini!s <br /> include soeakers of interest to staff and volunteers. <br /> Plannin2: The effectiveness of the orornlm will be reviewed bv the Deoartment and City <br /> Council as oart of its rei!ular stratei!ic olan/budi!et study at six (6) month intervals. <br /> Resource Develooment: The oroi!fam will establish contracts with The Salvation Armv. <br /> S1. Vincent de PauL local churches for food. cIothin2. furniture. and shelter assistance for <br /> clients . <br /> Communitv Coordination: Proi!fam staff will continue to be involved with the Network <br /> of Core Service Center. The Huni!er and Homeless Action Coalition. and will be <br /> attemotini! to establish a Redwood City Emer2encv Services Provider meetini!. <br /> Outreach. Marketin2. and Publicitv: The oroi!fam is advertised on a ouarterlv basis in <br /> the Citywide newsletter which is sent to all Redwood City residences. Monthlv reoorts are <br /> submitted and reviewed bv the Deoartment Head. Fair Oaks Community Center Advisorv <br /> Board. and the City Parks and Recreation Commission. The orimarv means of outreach <br /> and oublicitv for the orornlm has been and will continue to be word of mouth. <br />III. DESCRIPTION OF THE SERVICE ENVIRONMENTS <br /> Clients Served: The orornlm serves low income residents 90% of which are between the <br /> ai!es of 22 and 54. Over 50% of these clients are Hisoanic. with most of this i!fOUO beini! <br /> verv limited· Eoe'lish soeakini!. Translation and forms assistance and emeri!encv fOod. <br /> clothini! and lodi!ini! are the most reouested services bv clients of the oro1!fam. <br /> Contract Service Staff: One and one-half. full-time eouivalent emolovees are allocated <br /> to this oroi!fam. <br /> -3- <br />
