<br /> EXHIBIT "A" <br /> I. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES TO BE PERFORMED BY THE COUNTY <br /> A. Administer a contract with Lockheed Martin IMS, herein after referred to as <br /> "VENDOR", to provide electronic processing of notices of parking violations and <br /> collection of payments. <br /> B. Maintain accounting records, process daily deposits, and process the monthly <br /> . distribution of funds at the end of each accounting period pursuant to the codes <br /> and the terms of this agreement as set forth herein. <br /> l. The COUNTY and VENDOR will confirm collections for the period. <br /> 2. The COUNTY will verify the VENDOR's report with the COUNTY's <br /> spreadsheet collections. <br /> 3. The COUNTY will enter the collection data into its accounting system. <br /> 4. The COUNTY will process monthly distribution of funds at the end of <br /> each accounting period. <br /> C. Maintain the parking penalty schedules for municipal, county, and state codes as <br /> they relate to parking violations and be the conduit for any changes to said <br /> schedules. <br /> l. Vehicle Code Section 40203.5 provides that the governing body of the <br /> issuing agency shall establish a schedule of parking penalties. This <br /> penalty schedule will include the parking penalty, late payment penalty, <br /> administrative fees, and any other related charges. All penalties and fees <br /> will be clearly defined. To the extent possible, issuing agencies within the <br /> county are required to standardize parking penalties under this section. <br /> Pursuant to the provisions of Vehicle Code Section 40203.5 the CITY will <br /> establish a penalty schedule to be used by the COUNTY in processing <br /> citations issued for parking violations. <br /> 2. The County will notify the Ad Hoc Advisor Committee of any change in <br /> the schedule of parking penalties to assist in providing standardization of <br /> bail schedules. <br /> 3. The County will make changes in the schedule of parking penalties to <br /> conform with legislation which sets the penalty for any specific vehicle <br /> code [i.e. handicapped parking]. <br /> 5 <br /> . - --, .. ~..,~.. r- <br />
