EXHIBIT "A" I. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES TO BE PERFORMED BY THE COUNTY A. Administer a contract with Lockheed Martin IMS, herein after referred to as "VENDOR", to provide electronic processing of notices of parking violations and collection of payments. B. Maintain accounting records, process daily deposits, and process the monthly . distribution of funds at the end of each accounting period pursuant to the codes and the terms of this agreement as set forth herein. l. The COUNTY and VENDOR will confirm collections for the period. 2. The COUNTY will verify the VENDOR's report with the COUNTY's spreadsheet collections. 3. The COUNTY will enter the collection data into its accounting system. 4. The COUNTY will process monthly distribution of funds at the end of each accounting period. C. Maintain the parking penalty schedules for municipal, county, and state codes as they relate to parking violations and be the conduit for any changes to said schedules. l. Vehicle Code Section 40203.5 provides that the governing body of the issuing agency shall establish a schedule of parking penalties. This penalty schedule will include the parking penalty, late payment penalty, administrative fees, and any other related charges. All penalties and fees will be clearly defined. To the extent possible, issuing agencies within the county are required to standardize parking penalties under this section. Pursuant to the provisions of Vehicle Code Section 40203.5 the CITY will establish a penalty schedule to be used by the COUNTY in processing citations issued for parking violations. 2. The County will notify the Ad Hoc Advisor Committee of any change in the schedule of parking penalties to assist in providing standardization of bail schedules. 3. The County will make changes in the schedule of parking penalties to conform with legislation which sets the penalty for any specific vehicle code [i.e. handicapped parking]. 5 . - --, .. ~..,~.. r-
