Harrison - Project Engineer <br />Community Development Services <br />Engineering & Construction <br />1017 Middlefield Road <br />Redwood City, CA 94063 <br />RE: SURVEYINGÆNGINEERING BASE MAP SERVICES 2004 WATER MAIN <br /> CIP PROGRAM WITHIN THE REDWOOD CITY SERVICE AREA <br />Dear Mr. Harrison, <br />Thank you for the opportunity to submit this proposal to provide professional land- <br />surveying services for Area 2 of the above-referenced project. The boundaries of the <br />survey work are described in your RFP dated September 17,2004. <br />SCOPE OF WORK - The scope of work will be as follows: <br /> - Plans will be completed with AutoCAD R14, on a plan/profile template with <br /> the Redwood City title block at a scale of 1" = 20'. It is assumed that the City <br /> will supply us with a disk of the latest template. <br /> - The topographic survey will include all physical features within the project <br /> areas including curb and gutter, sidewalks, manholes, manhole inverts, <br /> manhole pipe inverts and top of pipe, valve boxes, blow-offs, monuments, <br /> utility covers, water meters, hydrants, poles, drain inlets bottom, drain inlets <br /> pipe inverts and top of pipe, cleanouts, trees, driveways, fences, signs, etc. <br /> - The cross-sections will be surveyed on 100' stations on tangents and 25' <br /> stations on curves. Spot elevations will be determined at street centerlines, <br /> gutter flow lines, top-of-curb, edge of pavement, back-of-walks, and <br /> approximate right-of-way. <br /> - The base map will include all property line boundaries (approximate fÌ'om <br /> City Block Book), right-of-way lines (approximate fÌ'om City Block Book), <br /> match lines, lot address, street centerlines, all existing utility lines, existing <br /> water and gas services, sewer laterals, and invert elevations at all structures <br /> (including storm drain inlet/pipe inverts, sewer manhole inverts and top of <br /> water valve nuts.) <br /> - Base map (topographic survey) will extend 50 feet past street intersections in <br /> all directions. <br />965 CENTER STREET · SAN CARLOS · CA 94070 · (650) 593-8580 · FAX (650) 593-8675 <br /> .·.__·......·~'._b.v,.'¥,_<~.'.·_"."e·._..._.._~"~..~,"___ ----.-.------ <br />
