Permittee, upon concurrence with the City, may use the alternate site
described below if the repair work would compromise the safety of patrons
of the event or would interfere with the normal conduct of the event.
Permittee acknowledges and agrees that its activities shall be conducted
in such a manner as not to interfere with the City's work on the sidewalk
improvement program. The alternate site would require the additional
closing of Main Street between Broadway and Middlefield. The attached
map in Exhibit A shows both the main and alternate street closures.
6. DATES AND TIMES: The hours of closing will be from 7:00 A.M. on
Saturday, September 21,1996, to 8:00 P.M. on Sunday, September 22,
1996. It is understood that the booths can remain in place overnight, with
the exception that the intersection of Jefferson and Broadway must be
clear of displays after closing on Saturday night. This is so that Jefferson
can be open to traffic overnight.
ALL ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE SALES WILL STOP AT 5:00 P.M. EACH
DAY.
7. INSURANCE: Permittee shall furnish to the City public liability and
property damage insurance naming the City of Redwood City, it Council,
boards, commissions, officers, employees, volunteers, and agents as
insureds, or additional insureds, insuring the same against all claims for
personal injury or death to any person or persons resulting or arising from
the conducting of the activities herein permitted, or alleged to have
resulted or ålleged to have arisen therefrom, or from any act or omission to
act, of Permittee in connection therewith, in the amounts of $1,000,000 for
each person and $1,000,000 for each occurrence, and property damage
insurance for damage or injury to, or destruction of property, including the
loss of use thereof, in the amount of $1,000,000. Evidence of such
insurance coverage in form satisfactory to the City shall be furnished by
Permittee to the City at least ten (10) days prior to commencement of the
event.
8. DAMAGE TO PUBLIC PROPERTY: Permittee shall reimburse the City for
the costs for any damage to City owned property, caused by or arising out
of, the conducting of the activities permitted hereunder, or the acts, or
omissions to act, of persons participating in said event. All signs or other
markings placed in or upon public property, including the public right-of-
way in connection with the activity shall be removed immediately following
said event.
9. COMPLIANCE WITH LAWS: Permittee shall comply with all appropriate
and applicable rules, regulations and laws in connection with the
conducting of said event, or any activities associated therewith.
