<br />2. Status <br />Contract Employee shall serve at the pleasure of the City Manager, subject to <br />the terms and conditions hereof, and shall not acquire a property interest in <br />employment or a right to continuing employment with the City of Redwood City. <br />The terms, covenants, and conditions of Contract Employee's employment with <br />the City are expressly limited by and to the terms, covenants and conditions of <br />this Agreement. <br />3. Compensation <br />(a) Rate - Contract Employee shall be compensated for the <br />performance of the above described services at the rate of (~4.200.00) Dollars <br />per month. Payment of such compensation shall be made bi-weekly. Contract <br />employee shall be paid for approved overtime, at the rate of time and one-half <br />for time worked in excess of forty (40) hours per work/week. <br />(b) Benefits - Contract Employee shall be entitled to the following <br />benefits: <br /> PERS Retirement: Contract Employee shall be entitled to <br />participate in the Public Employees Retirement System. The City will contribute <br />both the employee and the employer's portion of the PERS contribution. <br /> State Disability Insurance: Contract Employee shall be entitled to <br />participate in the State Disability Insurance Program.
